Dato’ Sri Md Abu Hanif Bin Md Abul Kashem, President and CEO of Hansal Group of Companies, is a visionary leader with over 25 years of diversified experience spanning marketing, human resources, oil and gas, manufacturing, precision engineering, and agribusiness. As the founder and driving force behind Hansal Agro Sdn Bhd and Bright Expression Lda, he has built a strong reputation for transforming underutilized land into highly productive agricultural hubs through innovation, sustainability, and effective workforce management.

Under his leadership, Hansal Agro Sdn Bhd has pioneered the leasing and rehabilitation of abandoned or unused government and private lands, converting them into thriving farms suitable for vegetable cultivation and livestock management. Dato’ Sri Hanif’s focus on modern farming techniques, particularly temperature-controlled greenhouse systems, has enabled the successful cultivation of high-value crops such as leafy vegetables and premium ginger. These advanced greenhouses ensure consistent year-round production while maintaining optimal growing conditions for quality and efficiency.

His management approach extends beyond cultivation – ensuring that every stage of the agricultural process, from planting to post-harvest handling, meets strict quality and hygiene standards. Once harvested, all produce is cleaned, packed, and distributed through Hansal Agro’s own logistics division, which operates a fleet of companyowned lorries. This integrated supply chain allows for efficient delivery to local supermarkets, retail outlets, and wet markets, ensuring freshness and timely supply.

In the livestock sector, Dato’ Sri Hanif oversees the rearing of cattle, goats, and chickens using sustainable and welfare-focused practices. Once matured, selected livestock are transported to governmentcertified slaughterhouses for processing, cutting, and packaging before being distributed to supermarkets and local markets. His ability to manage both human and operational resources with precision has earned Hansal Agro a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and ethical production.
